After 2 years of use, I was looking for a replacement to my composite toe Caterpillar Work Shoe. Although I was happy with my previous CAT work shoe, I was looking for something more low-profile and fashionable. This particular shoe immediately caught my eye being more feminine and fashionably appealing, but assumed there would be a trade off with comfort especially having a steel toe vice composite. I'm glad I was wrong! I absolutely LOVE this shoe! Perfect fit, comfortable, and fashionable. I'm very impressed with the comfort and stability of this shoe even compared to my previous style of CAT work shoe. I know other buyer reviews mentioned the shoe being heavy due to the steel toe. I completely disagree. I can honestly say that the steel-toe has no significant bearing on the weight of the shoe as compared to the composite and the extra safety benefit of the steel toe not only makes this a great replacement, but a serious upgrade. The size was true to fit and I even have some extra space if I wanted to slightly loosen the laces and wear thicker or insulated socks. I work in the Seattle area and spend numerous hours of my workday outside and I am happy to say that these shoes keep your feet dry and cozy even in the worst downpour. I've always loved Caterpillar shoes, but this shoe definitely exceeded my expectations in every aspect.
