I purchased this primarily for the back-light which is perfect for darker areas of the house that don't get a lot of direct sun. This switch is very easy to find in a dark hallway due to the lighting feature which is just bright enough to make it easy to locate but does not light the surrounding area. You'll see a dim glow in an otherwise dark area.The toggle is by no means silent - the switch activates with a fairly solid click which some seem to appreciate (it's always nice to get a bit of feedback I suppose) but I personally think could be a bit softer.Relatively easy to install with three screws plus a ground. (wires are not push-in)
